Just as so many other artists seem to leave their original groups almost at the very start of their careers without the thought of loyalty, I think of the groups’ members, themselves who are often left behind. Whether it was Dion (who left the Belmonts) or Diana Ross (who left the Supremes) or a list of others who left their roots to become superstars. They might have taken these original folks on the road with them rather than leave them almost without a thought. Lionel Richie is a talented artist and performer, but I hope that he, at least, keeps in touch with his former group who made it because of ALL of their talent.
In respect to this original story, it was recently announced by Lionel Richie, he decided that he will re-join the Commodores for a final reunion tour later this year. Mr. Richie must have thought about the concept of, “Loyalty”.
Mr. Richie and other lead vocalists who have re-thought their original plans to tour as a single artist.
